Prana Ugiana Gio received the Bachelor of Science (S.Si) and Master of Science (M.Si) from Department of Mathematics Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). 2017-Now: PhD Candidate (Dr), Department of Mathematics, Universitas Sumatera Utara (Major: Statistics). He is also lecturer at Department of Mathematics Universitas Sumatera Utara.

He is founder of statistical software STATCAL & visualization software EAVIS (http://statcal.com/ & http://easy-visualization.org/). His research interests include Nonlinear Modeling, Simulation, Bayesian Statistics, Computation, Data Mining and Machine Learning.

He is also a content creator on the youtube channel STATKOMAT (http://statkomat.com/), about statistics & programming. Various of his article can be freely downloaded at http://www.pranaugi.com/, he also creates web-based application for visualization which can be accessed at http://ugigrafik.com/. One of the things he has been working on is making web-based dashboard application (http://pranaugi-dashboard.com/) using Javascript, R, Python, etc. He is also the founder of olahdata-statistik.org (http://olahdata-statistik.org/).

♦ Won the best five innovation awards at the Youth Economic Leadership Program - Bank Indonesia Institute in 2018.
♦Won the Main Category Paper award (Scopus Recommendation) at the 2019 Islamic Economic and Financial Research Forum (FREKS-OJK).
♦In 2021, received the Research Grant of Bank Indonesia (RGBI).
♦In 2021, received the Research Grant of Badan Kebijakan Fiskal Kemenkeu.
